My Docs: Document Wallet — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 November 2026
My Docs: Document Wallet is an app made by Nugezza Developer, a Nugezza company. This policy explains what the app does with your documents and with information about you and the people you add. The short version: My Docs keeps your documents only on your phone, collects nothing and sends nothing to us. A document leaves the phone only when you send it, back it up or move it yourself.
What we collect
Nothing. My Docs does not collect, store on our servers, share or sell your documents or any personal information. It has no account, no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind, and it contains no third-party code that collects data. We have no server the app talks to, and we cannot see your documents.
Internet and the network
My Docs works offline and makes no request to the internet of its own. The Android app has the internet permission, and on both phones it uses the local network, only for moving your documents to a new phone over your own Wi-Fi or hotspot (below).
The Android app carries Google Play’s own purchase library, which talks to Google Play only when you buy Family or a tip, or restore your purchases.
What stays on your phone
Everything you put into My Docs is kept in its own private storage on your phone, which the phone encrypts with its screen lock: your documents as you added them, small pictures made from them, and their details (the type, the name, whose it is, the expiry date, the number, your notes), the names of the people you add, and your settings. It never leaves the phone unless you send it, back it up or move it, and uninstalling the app deletes it.
If you keep documents for family members, they are kept the same way, on your phone only. Please add someone’s documents only with their agreement, or as their parent or carer.
What the app asks your phone for
Scanning: My Docs uses your phone’s own document scanner, Apple’s on iPhone and the one in Google Play services on Android. Those are provided by Apple and Google; My Docs receives only the finished picture. The camera is also used to read the code when you move to a new phone.
Photos and files: you pick them with your phone’s own picker, and My Docs receives only the ones you chose. On iPhone a picture is added to your photos only when you ask for that.
Reminders: expiry reminders are notifications planned on the phone itself. Nothing is sent over a network to make them.
The lock
If you turn on the lock, My Docs asks your phone to check your fingerprint, face or passcode when the app opens, and when you leave the “hand to someone” screen. The check is done by your phone’s own system: My Docs never sees, stores or sends your fingerprint, your face or your passcode, it only learns whether the check passed. While the lock is on, the app’s contents are hidden in the phone’s app switcher.
Backups
On Android, My Docs does not go into Google’s cloud backup. A transfer between two Android phones by cable can still carry it.
On iPhone, a backup of the phone (iCloud or a computer) may include the app’s storage, so your documents come back on a new iPhone. That backup is made and kept for you by Apple or on your own computer, under your own settings; we never see it.
You can also make a backup file yourself in Settings. It is locked with a password you choose (AES-256), My Docs hands it to your phone’s share sheet, and you choose where it goes. We never see the file or the password, and nobody can open the file without the password, us included. Restoring reads a file you pick.
Moving to a new phone
When you move, the old phone shows a QR code that holds a new random key, and the new phone reads it. Your documents then go directly from one phone to the other over your own Wi-Fi or a phone’s hotspot, sealed with that key, and are not sent through us or anyone else on the internet. The old phone serves them only to the phone that proves it has the code, only while that screen is open, for one move or 15 minutes. Please do not show the code to anyone else.
Children
My Docs is meant for people aged 13 and over. Parents may keep their children’s documents in it, on their own phone. The app collects no information from anyone, so it collects none from children.
Purchases and tips
My Docs is free for your own documents, with every feature. Keeping documents for more people (Family) is a one-time purchase, and tips are optional purchases that unlock nothing. Both are paid through Google Play or the Apple App Store, which take the payment and keep the receipt under your own account; My Docs never sees your card or bank details.
To know whether Family was bought, the app asks the store on your phone and keeps a note of the answer on your phone. We receive no personal information from these purchases beyond the reports the stores give every developer, such as the number of purchases in each country.
The app stores
You download My Docs from Google Play or the Apple App Store. Those stores may collect information under their own privacy policies (for example, to process the download). We do not receive personal information about you from them beyond the anonymous, aggregated statistics the stores show every developer, such as the number of installs.
Changes
If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future version adds an online feature — we will update this page and the date above before that version is released, and the app will explain it before it is used.
