Nugezza PDF Tools — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 November 2026
Nugezza PDF Tools is a desktop app made by Nugezza Developer, a Nugezza company. The short version: your documents stay on your computer. They are never uploaded, to us or to anyone. The app has no advertising, analytics or crash reporting.
Your documents
Everything the app does to a document happens on your computer: merging, splitting, compressing, converting, editing, signing, comparing, reading text with OCR and translating. We never receive your documents or anything in them.
Files you add in Pages are copied into the app’s own folder on your computer, and the app works on those copies, so your own files stay as they are. The copies stay there, for next time, until you delete them in the app; a deleted file goes to your computer’s Bin.
In Folder mode the app works in the folders you open, as a file browser does. Every tool writes its result as a new file next to the original, and the original is never changed. Renaming, moving, copying and deleting there are done only when you ask, and a deleted file goes to your computer’s Bin.
Your settings, saved signatures and saved stamps are kept in the app’s own folder on your computer. Removing that folder removes them.
Your licence
To use the app you sign in with Nugezza ID. The sign-in form inside the app comes straight from id.nugezza.com: the app never sees your password, and receives only your account’s identifier and name. The app also sends a code made from your computer’s own identifier, so that the licence works on that computer. That code cannot be turned back into the identifier. A monthly or yearly plan asks Nugezza for the next period around its payment day. While your computer is online, the app also asks Nugezza every few hours whether your licence is still active, sending that code and a token from your sign-in, so that a licence that has been stopped (refunded, say) stops in the app too; it sends nothing about your documents or how you use the app. What happens to your account’s information is in the Nugezza privacy policy.
What else uses the internet
The app asks developer.nugezza.com whether a new version exists. You can turn this off in Settings. It sends only which kind of computer the app is for.
The first time you translate, and only after you agree, the app downloads the translation model from Hugging Face. Like any download, that service sees your computer’s internet address. After that, translating needs no internet, and your words are never sent.
Paying
Payment happens on the Stripe checkout page, on this website, not in the app. We do not see your card number.
